What is Spartan Giving Day?

Embrace the spirit of Spartan Giving Day - an annual, exhilarating 24-hour challenge for our entire Maryknoll community. This is more than a day; it's a powerful call to all Spartans, urging us to unite and amplify our collective strength for a profound impact on our school. Your contribution on Spartan Giving Day isn't just a gift; it's an investment in our students, providing them with opportunities to flourish and achieve success, ultimately enhancing their overall Maryknoll experience.

When is Spartan Giving Day?

Spartan Giving Day is Friday, April 26, 2024. All gifts made here on the Spartan Giving Day site will count towards our giving day goal.

Who can participate in Spartan Giving Day?

Everyone within the Maryknoll Family is invited to participate, including faculty, staff, students, retirees, corporate and foundation partners, alumni, and friends. Your involvement makes a difference, and we welcome all to join in the spirit of community and generosity!

Why should I give on Spartan Giving Day?

Contributing on Spartan Giving Day empowers Maryknoll’s Annual Fund. This crucial fund is the backbone of support for every facet of our school, making a direct impact on our students, teachers, and programs. Your donation is an investment in our mission to educate 21st-century learners and leaders, enabling our students to explore new horizons and achieve greater heights.

Making a Gift

How can I make a gift?

Gifts made directly on our Spartan Giving Day site will be immediately reflected in our giving day thermometer. All giving day gifts received by mail, phone, or online now through April 26th will count towards our Spartan Giving Day totals. Gifts must be at least $10

Online: You can make your gift online through this Spartan Giving Day site until 11:59 pm on Friday, April 26. Simply click the "Make a Gift" button in the top right corner of your screen.

Is there a minimum gift amount?

Yes, gifts must be at least $10 to participate.

Can I make a gift by mail or by phone?

Mail: Please make checks out to Foundation for Maryknoll School and be sure to indicate Spartan Giving Day on the memo line of your check. Note that checks received by our Office of Institutional Advancement by 4:00 pm HST on Friday, April 26th will be included in our totals on the Spartan Giving Day site.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes! Your gift qualifies for tax deduction in accordance with IRS regulations during the calendar year that you make your gift. Consult your tax professional for more information.

Can I take advantage of my employer’s matching gift program?

It's not April 26th yet - does my gift count?

Yes - Spartan Giving Day is April 26th, but you don't have to wait! All gifts made here on the Spartan Giving Day site by 11:59pm on April 26th, will count towards our totals and class leaderboard.

What can I do to help make Spartan Giving Day a success?

There are many ways to show support for Spartan Giving Day:

  • Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to join in conversations about #SpartanGivingDay

What do Spartan Ambassadors do?

  • Sign up as a Spartan Ambassador to Lead the Charge
  • Make your $50 gift using your unique URL
  • Email, text, or call classmates, family, and friends to inspire additional gifts
  • The first 25 Spartan Ambassadors to sign up, make your gift, and inspire THREE others to make a gift using your unique URL will receive an exclusive Spartan Giving Day dri-fit hoodie!

GRAND PRIZE: The individual Spartan Ambassador to inspire the most gifts in dollars will win (1) reserved parking space for Maryknoll School events 2024-2025 (Mākeke on the Lawn, Fall Fest, Noblesse Oblige Christmas, Lei Day, Giving Day Celebration, May Day).

*Spartan Ambassadors eligible for the grand prize must be an individual ambassador. Companies, groups or classes cannot qualify.
